Some have called us a neighborhood hangout, local’s hangout, corner bar. The Virginian Pilot called us “The Best Good, Cheap Steak in Hampton Roads.” Honestly, for some, we’re called home. We’re a friendly face, a family that grows daily, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Our customers mean everything to us. We know that you could go anywhere but you’re truly appreciated at the Bell!
A Little History:
In 1968 a Navy Meteorologist, Tom Herron received orders to be stationed in Virginia Beach. In 1978 After 20 years in the Navy Tom was facing retirement, while on deployment in England he received a phone call informing him that the bar he had been interested in was his. Tom is a native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania which is why we love the Steelers. Tom found that he had passed on his love for the bar and restaurant business to his daughter Lynda. She started working at the Bell in the late 80’s and is now the owner of the Brass Bell.
Jack Davis has been our General Manager for over 20 years,
he has a passion for our customers and we could not have
